Abdominal compress is manufactured in sizes of 30 cm x 30 cm, 40 cm x 40 cm, and 45 cm x 45 cm, and in the desired number of plies.
It is used in abdominal surgical operations (colon, stomach, etc.) that do not directly involve contact with the heart or the central circulatory system and central nervous system, to tamponade blood, act as a separator between tissues and organs, and serve as a wound dressing material or mechanical barrier for the absorption or compression of exudate.
