When wetted, the plaster bandage can be easily shaped during application.
The plaster bandage should be applied only after the entire area to be treated has been wrapped with hydrophilic cotton or a similar product, so that the skin can breathe, there is no moist zone between the skin and the plaster bandage, and the hard surface does not damage the skin.
Its areas of use include casting applied with circular turns for the fixation of fractures, orthopedic corrections, and joint and bone irregularities.
Plaster bandage can be manufactured in widths of 5 cm, 7.5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, and 20 cm, and in any desired length.
