Quality Control in Gauze Production

Quality control in gauze production is not limited to the appearance of the final product alone. The raw material of the product, its absorbency performance, and its reliability in use must be regularly monitored through various tests.

In this context, the burn test and the sink test that we perform at our facility are among the important controls through which we practically assess gauze quality.

The burn test allows observation of the fiber structure of the product. Gauze made of 100% cotton content shows natural fiber characteristics during burning and behaves differently from synthetic blends.

The sink test, on the other hand, is applied to evaluate the absorbency performance of the gauze. Gauze that has been properly processed and given absorbent properties absorbs liquid quickly and sinks within a short time.

In medical use, for products that come into direct contact with human health, the use of the correct raw material is of great importance. Products that do not comply with standards or that contain synthetic blends may reduce absorbency performance and also pose a risk in terms of usage safety.

The tests we have shared here are part of the importance we place on quality in our production process and our approach of regularly checking our products.
